.: Dynamic Probing
For the soil mechanics investigations we often need to carry out dynamic probing. Our
company has a GEOTOOL heavy driven probe, which is an excellent tool for these tasks,
because it can be operated and transported easily. It has a wide range of applicability.
We have performed many investigations in places where we designed deep foundations. These
were, for the most part, auxiliary investigations in order to achieve as precise pile
calculations as possible. In addition, we have used it to search for cavities on a building
site with a cellar underneath, and made investigations with it from a raft next to the piers
of a footbridge in Lake Hévíz.
We always perform dynamic probing together with, or as a supplement to, soil exploration
borings. It is important for us to know what kind of soil the probing results apply to. The
most usable results can be expected in the case of granular soils.
