Our company makes the plans for the majority of Fundament 2000 Kft's foundation and waling
projects, so we take an active part in the construction works as well. Our partner's main
activity is making screw piles, CFA piles, and micropiles. In addition, they own hundreds of
square metres of steel sheet piles, which they use for water sealing waling works.
There are two rubber tyre excavators and two caterpillar-type drilling machines available for
the construction works. We can carry out suspended pile driving with the excavators to the depth
of 6.0-7.0 metres, while with the drilling machines even 18.0-metre CFA piles can be made. The
diameter of the piles that we can construct range from 40 cm to 100 cm. We can make a soil
displacing pile with a diameter of 30 cm with our biggest machine. The smaller caterpillar-type
machine has a tower on which not only a drilling attachment can be mounted but a pile hammer as
well. This is the tool we use for driving and pulling sheet piles. We are also, of course,
equipped with a pile hammer that can be suspended from a crane and thus can drive and pull sheet
piles. With the help of the pile hammers, we can also make micropiles with many different
diameters. We have a test rig, with which we
can perform the load testing of the finished piles. It is best to perform these tests in the
design period so that the results could still be used for the foundation plans.
We, together with our partner, strive to execute complete foundation works in the scope of which we construct not only the piles, but the pile caps, grade beams, and the base slabs as well. Thus a structural engineer can continue to build the project on a "clean" concrete surface.
